NVCC course to help supervisors improve management skills
In today’s working world, managers are pulled in so many directions it’s no wonder they’re the inspiration for so many silly “Dilbert” cartoons. Many supervisors probably spend more time in meetings than supervising, which can mean their management skills aren’t what they should be. But Naugatuck Valley Community College is offering a course beginning April 12 that can help.
“Supervisory Skills II: Managing with Performance in Mind” is designed to provide managers with the essential leadership skills that they need to produce more effective results. It explains how to: . develop a management style that generates results; . create teams that work; . manage conflict; and, . juggle multiple priorities.
