Flower & Cookbook Sale

Stand By Me, Inc. (The Bereavement Agency) will be hosting its annual Easter Flower and Cookbook Sale. We have many colors of tulips, hyacinths, and daffodils. Governor Jodi Rell was in the Brass City at the end of March to announce NURIDE, a 2,000,000 mile rideshare challenge. The press conference was held at the UConn Waterbury branch in downtown, and one can only wonder what Rell was thinking as she visited the hometown of John Rowland, the former governor, and her boss for more than a decade. Rowland was forced to resign two years ago and spent much of the past year in federal prison. Rell was thrust into the spotlight when Rowland resigned, and by most accounts has been a steady influence as she has presided over Connecticut. Her approval rating is over 80%.
